Chapter 4

Camping

Robyn sighed as she stood in the boat. She wasn’t very interested in catching fish at the time. Neither was Cye, although he was staying at camp. Kento smiled like everyone was taking pictures of him because he caught the big one. He and Ryo were planning to have a bit of competition. Rowen hauled a cooler on the boat while Sage brought up the sandwiches.

They were bored out of their minds for the last couple days so Cole gathered their stuff up and brought them up to Twin Lakes to swim and fish. He brought his friend’s boat for the heck of it. Everyone was a little bit excited because they wouldn’t have to watch TV or go outside in the dreaded heat.

Robyn was stuck on this boat ride when what she really wanted to do was sleep. She was up all last night playing outside; never again would she play Volleyball with Lynn again. But she would let Lynn drag her aboard a fishing boat. “It might be fun,” Lynn said last night.

After everyone had gotten ready and was ready to go, they figured out that someone had to give up their spot. The boat didn’t have enough room for everyone. This was Robyn’s chance; she would just say… “I wanted to talk to Cye anyway.”

“I’ll go next time,” Ryo set down his pole and proceeded on getting off the boat. He was disappointed but excited to do some thing on his own.

“No Ryo, I’ll go,” Robyn said, trying to stop him.

“You go fish Robyn, I’ll have fun. I always can fish from the shores. Isn’t that why Cole brought us to Twin Lakes?”

“Well yeah, but….” Ryo stopped Robyn by placing his hand softly over her mouth.

“You need to spend time with Lynn, that’s what you came for anyway. I will be here waiting for ya,” Ryo jumped off and waved as they headed out. Robyn sat in a chair, mad at Ryo for making her get out onto the lake.

Ryo turned to Cye and smiled, “So…It’s you and me buddy. Lets take off up the road, I saw some girls up there that looked cute.”

“I didn’t think you would want to do that…” Cye took his cap off and wiped his forehead with his sleeve.

“….I was giving a suggestion…I heard the nearest town had really good pie. I’m starving!” Ryo’s tummy growled as he dazed off.

      “Didn’t you have breakfast?”

“No, I woke up late and we were in a big hurry…” Ryo came back to reality.

“How ‘bout I fix you something and then we can go down to a fish hatchery I saw when we were coming in…” Cye stood to get his supplies out.

Ryo nodded happily and went to get more wood into the fire.

      ^*^*^*^*^*^*

Robyn and Kento sat on two lawn chairs listening to the radio. Their eyes closed and looking good. Cole asked everyone to bring their lines in so they could try some where else. Lynn was the only one had caught anything since they started.

“Hey my line won’t come in…” Sage said irritated.

“Probably snagged,” Cole said as he walked over to help Sage.

“I don’t know Cole, snags don’t move….” Lynn cocked her head to a side.

“Yeah, you see it?” Sage moved his pole left to right.

Rowen finished reeling his in and moved to his blonde companion. “Wow,” He said excited, “Sage, you got one!”

That’s when Kento opened an eye while Robyn got up to see. It wasn’t a sissy trout like Lynn’s, it looked like a bass.

Lynn went and got a net, obviously it was big. It hadn’t jumped but the line kept spinning and when Sage got it close, it took off again or under the boat.

Sage finally stopped reeling and sat down in a chair to let the fish tire himself, while he drank some pop. Soon, the line slowed down as the fish got tired.

“Finally,” Kento smiled, “Lets get that sucker in!”

Reeling him in was a bit easier for Sage now. He almost let go of his pole when it jumped. It was huge! And it was clear that Sage had to fight it.

Rowen netted the fish and dragged it aboard the boat. Cole and Robyn watched Sage untangle it and take the hook out of its mouth.

      “Wow…” Robyn gazed.

“No kidding…It’s…” Cole put it on the scale, “almost 5 ½ pounds!”

      Rowen whistled

“Oh…my…” Robyn sat down to Kento.

Cole asked Sage if wanted him to keep it and Sage shook his head. “I just want to have fun.” Sage then returned his fish back into the lakes. “Thanks Cole, now let’s get Robyn one,” Sage said as Robyn stopped giggling and paled.

“Not if I get on first!” Kento was already putting a lure on his pole.

      ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*

“Ummm…” Ryo swallowed. “Well…” He threw his plate in the fire. “Let’s hurry to that fish hatchery, before it closes.”

“Okay, but who’s driving,” Cye asked as he dried his hands. They both looked at each other.

“I am!” They both screamed at the same time.

      “No me!” They yelled again.

“Fine you can drive!” they both said for the third time.

“I get it back,” Cye yelled before Ryo had a chance.

“So, I am driving,” Ryo grabbed the keys.

“I am driving back,” Cye said as he opened the door to the passenger seat.

“Put your seat belt on then,” Ryo laughed as he started up the engine and drove up the bumpy road.

Actually, the road wasn’t that bumpy, at least not the road to the fish hatchery, it was paved.

Cye opened the door while Ryo killed the engine. He took a deep breath before looking at the baby fish in the race way. Ryo walked over to join Cye and then walked over to two ponds over to their left. There were some trout adults there.

“Hey Cye, I don’t think the salmon come this way,” Ryo said as he looked into a pond with a bunch of dying salmon.

“No, I don’t think so either, the sign over there says that they had too many at the other one so they offered to have salmon here. A truck brings them over, this is for trout. They send their eggs back to the original hatchery though,” Cye explained.

“Oh…makes a bit of sense…” Ryo nodded and continued to look at the large fish.

They walked over near some people who were loading fish into a tank on a truck.

“We need at least another person,” one man said, “I can’t do this alone!”

“I fill out the papers….Matt called and said that he had to stay home, his kid’s sick…” another said.

“We don’t have the time to call some one anyway! We are going to behind schedule if we don’t get these fish into the Twin Lakes soon!” The first guy hit his head on the tank.

Ryo and Cye looked at each other and nodded as if both agreeing to volunteer. But before they could step forward, the second guy yelled at them.

“You two,” the second guy said. “You wanna volunteer? Just listen to Dave and you’ll have fun…”

Ryo and Cye looked at each other again and both said “Yes,” and followed the paper guy into to get a cap and a vest. They both jumped into the truck and Ryo took a mental description of him. He was about 35 years of age, brown hair and eyes and looked a bit of Mexican. He looked loose and caring though and that made Ryo relax a bit.

Cye bounced up and down on the bumpy road. He was so excited but worried that Robyn was going to get back before him. Ryo on the other hand, didn’t want to go back to camp, he liked this Dave guy. He seemed….funny when he talked. Warming smile and was very loose. He was always smiling…Like Cye on this trip.

      ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*

About the time Ryo and Cye were getting into the car, everyone on the boat had caught a fish except Kento. Even Robyn and Lynn’s little fish were getting to Kento. And Cole was trying everything to help get him one.

“Please Kento… try real hard…Catch one for me,” Robyn pleaded. She had gotten sea sick for a while and wanted to get some real medicine.

“Why would someone want to catch a fish for you?” Rowen asked sarcastically.

“Because she is sweet, cute,” Kento replied, “Plus she supports me.” He cast out one last time before leaving. True, Robyn didn’t look up from her sandwich at lunch when Rowen caught his.

Rowen ignored Kento’s comment and went inside the captain’s cabin.

“Ignore him Kento,” Robyn patted his shoulder softly before rubbing her hands around his neck. Gave him a small squeeze and then walked into the cabin of the boat after Rowen.

Kento took his seat again and continued to reel his line in, suddenly, the line started spinning. “Guys I got one!” Kento yelled after he stared fighting back.

Everyone ran out to Kento’s aide. Kento though didn’t seem to have a big bass or a big fish at that. His drag was real low so the line was loose.

When the trout finally jumped, everyone laugh softly. It was almost as small as Lynn’s and Lynn’s was the smallest! He reeled it in anyway.

“His is cute,” Robyn congratulated Kento as he lifted it onto the boat. I was a little tout. Although it gave a fight, Kento let it go.

“I don’t like the little ones because they take forever to get the hooks out of their mouths,” Lynn said as she removed the hook.

As Kento put the fish back, he said, “I am ready to go for another one if Ro is up for some competition.” Kento looked at Rowen while Cole started the boat.

“All the way…Your on, lets go,” Rowen replied as he grabbed his pole and hopped into his seat.

“No…” Robyn whimpered softly. She was almost home and Kento had to catch one…Oh well, she was getting better anyway.

As they drove around, Lynn and Sage sat in the back and laughed as Cole tried to go fast. Some water had splashed up on the deck and at everyone outside the captain’s cabin.

“Alright, first to catch a fish gets five bucks,” Cole announced as he cast out.

Kento came running out and slid on the water on the deck. Instead of hitting his head on the lawn chair, he flipped over the chair and into the lake. Everyone stood there watching in humor as Kento emerged and treaded water till everyone could get calmed down and toss him a rope.

“Now you look like your fish,” Rowen laughed.

“So do you,” Sage laughed as he tossed him off next.

“Hey!” Rowen yelled as he emerged next to Kento. “That’s not fair!”

Everyone laughed and shook their heads as the two boys got back into the boat.

      ^*^*^*^*^*^*

“Here it is boys,” Dave gave a big smile as he pulled up to the spot by the lake. “I need…Ryo right?” Ryo nodded. “I need you to put the hose right there in the water and hold it there.”

The hose was a little bigger then a fire hose and looked very much like it but it was smooth on the inside so it wouldn’t hurt the fish. It was attached to the large tank on the back of the truck and as Ryo carried it out, it seemed it was already full of the water and fish. This didn’t worry Ryo though, he’s handled worse.

“Yes sir,” Ryo grabbed the hose and held it by the water. “Hey Cye! I’m a fire fighter,” Ryo waved the hose like he was fighting a fire.

“Except it shoots fish,” Dave called back with a bit of laughter. “Here they come,” He yelled as he turned it on.

“Holy,” Ryo yelled as the fish shot out. He really couldn’t hold the hose so Cye helped him a bit. They had it in the water so the fish wouldn’t fly.

Dave laughed to himself as the two boys tried to get the hose under control. “Like this,” He said as he gently took the hose from the boys. He seemed to always have control. But he also worked here longer. He placed the hose on the ground and held it down with his foot. “Cye, you come with me, you good at catching fish?”

Cye looked shocked. “No, I don’t like to catch them. I only wanted to help release them.” Cye looked at Ryo who seemed to like his job. He was trying to catch a fish by hand while it was coming out. “But I think I got the wrong partner…” He laughed.

“That’s okay…then can you push this button when it beeps? That means it’s empty.” Dave turned to leave.

“Sure… Dave…” Cye said as he looked for a button.

“Yeah Cye,” Dave turned back around.

“Oh…never mind…I found it,” Cye said smiling.

“I will have my radio on, call my when you turn it off. Be right back!” Dave grabbed a net and took off over the nearest hill.

Cye looked at Ryo again and he still was trying to catch one with his hands. He was lying down with his foot on the hose to hold it down, while he had his hands in the water. Cye chuckled to himself and watched him. He looked almost like a kid trying to catch baby fish in a pond. Suddenly, Ryo reached out and caught one. Except the fish stayed in the water and Ryo went for a ride. He slid right into the water. When his face came in contact he let go of the fish, he was still in the waster and his front side was very muddy and wet. Cye laughed.

“Man….The water is like…cold!” Ryo got up as fish continued to hit him coming out of the hose. Cye was now stepping on the hose for Ryo so it wouldn’t fly everywhere.

“Yeah, I would think so,” Cye said trying to stop laughing but Ryo looked too funny. His hair lied down with a few strands up. His shorts and shirt clinked to him and Ryo was starting to laugh as he got out.

Ryo took off his shirt and held the hose. The beeper went off and Cye called Dave. Ryo was ringing out his shirt when Dave came back over the hill.

“What happened here,” Dave said chuckling at Ryo’s hair.

“I caught a fish and the fish took me for a ride…” Ryo responded as threw his shirt back on. Ryo was still chuckling.

“Yeah,” Dave laughed. “There’s always a fist time for that! Well right before Cye called, my boss said they had some people come in for the tour so I need to get you guys back to your camp and me back at the office.” Dave looked at Ryo who was now working on his cap. “You guys are welcome here anytime, just bring those hats and you can help. Hopefully I will be on duty.”

Ryo nodded and threw his hat on backwards.

Ryo, Cye, and Dave jumped in the truck and he took them back to their camp site.

“Thanks boys, you stay safe and have fun,” Dave waved off and went back to the hatchery.

Cye looked at Ryo and then at their boat coming into dock. He couldn’t help but bust up laughing again. Ryo just shook his head.

They all sat around the fire, cooking grilled cheese, except Ryo who was getting into some dry clothes on him.

“I hope the girls don’t mind a guy in boxers at the fire,” Ryo said as he came out with his wet clothes in his hands.

“Nope,” Robyn said as she helped Ryo place his clothes on the wire to dry. “I don’t mind a sexy guy out sitting next to me by the fire. Come here cutie!”

“I don’t,” Lynn said as she looked at Cole. But when she turned around to look at Ryo, she blushed. He was kind of cute that way and she couldn’t help it. When she looked at Cole, he gave her a smile and then shook his head. Nothing he could do.

They ate and then set on resting for the rest of the day, it had cooled off and everyone was enjoying it. It was getting dark anyway so they got out the marshmallows and told some ghost stories.

Cole was going fishing the second day and was bringing everyone who wanted to go. Cole, Lynn, Rowen, and Kento went fishing on the boat. Ryo and Sage took a trail hike. They were going to be back a bit before Cole did.

Cye had relaxed and listen to Robyn talk about their fishing trip yesterday, although he really didn’t want to. He wanted to make sure she had fun.

“Cye, will you………teach me…a little bit about swimming?” Robyn looked unsure what she just asked.

“HUH? What if something happens, no one will be able to help!” Cye looked surprised but thought about the question. Did he really want to put her life in danger?

“You will, I trust you Cye. Plus I want to be able to swim when we go back. I want to not be afraid any more. Puh-lease!” Robyn gave him puppy eyes. He didn’t realize how much she wanted to be near him.

“Well ok, go get ready.” Cye started stripping there. Right down to his boxers. They work just as well.

Robyn came out shortly she was shaking lightly. She knew that if something happened, well she shouldn’t be thinking that in the first place. Cye would help her, he always does.

“So where do I start?” Robyn asked as she got into the water slowly trying to control her fear.

“Well, first you need to get in waist deep water.” Cye said, grabbing her hand softly and led her to a good spot.

“Shouldn’t I…” Robyn pointed to the life jacket lying by the water.

“No, I am sure you won’t need it. Come on.” Cye’s grip was gentle and soft.

“All right,” She came close to him as he took her to the right place. Then he laid her face up in the water.

“Ok, lay on my hand. There you go. Trust me.” Robyn struggled. She was going under. “Don’t panic, trust me will ya. There, Relax.” Cye slowly pulled his hand from under her. She instantly panicked and went under. The water wasn’t deep so she just stood up.

She knew that he would help if anything happened. It was just that she couldn’t forget what happened when she was a kid and had the fear. She always would.

“Let’s try this again. Robyn, do you trust me,” Cye pulled her close as laid her on her back.

“Yeah, just don’t pull your hand back yet.” Robyn said.

“I won’t,” Cye stepped back and slipped on a rock. He went under, Robyn fallowed. It still wasn’t deep so she scrambled up. When Cye saw her he grabbed her. His hair fell over his eyes and he could barley see. Robyn just stopped to make sure the sexy thing holding her up was Cye. He smiled and said, “Sorry, you ok?”

      “Yeah,” Robyn blushed.

      “Ok, let’s try again, ready?”

“Uh-huh.” She felt Cye’s soft hands touch her waist. He gently held her above water, giving her commands.

“Spread you arms, don’t worry nothing is going to happen. I promise.”

That word, promise, it meant so much to her. She did as she was told and felt his hands let her go. She was floating! She could float! One step was done, how many more.

“Ok, now do it with out me,” Cye nodded.

“I can’t, What if,” Robyn sighed.

      “Don’t worry, nothing will happen.”

Robyn boosted her self up and told herself that Cye was holding her up. She floated with out him! What an accomplishment! What next!

Cye taught her a bit about swimming as in the breaststroke and small things like that, mainly treading water. After a while of holding her above, he thought she was ready to swim to him.

“Ok, swim to me. Don’t be afraid.” Cye waved to her.

Again Robyn did as she was told. Cye seemed too far. He was where she couldn’t touch! Suddenly and boat came and made waves. This caused her to panic and she went under. Since she couldn’t reach she panicked again. Cye grabbed her in time; she grabbed him and held him tight.

“I think we should continue later.” Cye said as he helped her feet.

“No, let’s get this over with.” Robyn said quietly.

Cye gave her a few more tips and then when the boat came by again, she swam past the waves and to Cye.

“Well I think you’ll be ok,” Cye helped her to the shore. Robyn was so tired. She went right to her tent to get dressed, then met Cye at the fire.

When everyone was back, they again took the day off and rested. They were sitting around the campfire after supper talking about their day. But Lynn and Robyn were so tired; they went to bed early so it was a guy night.

Rowen wondered around the camps while everyone else got to bed or finished off a bag of marshmallows. (Kento and Ryo)

Cole popped his head in the girls’ tent and saw them joking around. Cye popped his in next and hugged Robyn good night.

“You girls’ aren’t planning anything are you,” Cole asked as he stepped in.

Robyn laughed and shook her head.

“Don’t need anything do you,” Cole asked again.

       “Gnaw…” Lynn shook her head.

“Just wanted to make sure you were okay. I’ll leave ya before I get into some trouble. See you girls in the morning.”

      ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*

Robyn got up the next morning to Ryo and Sage packing their bags again. She wondered what they did when they went camping. It was still peaceful out side. Cye was starting on breakfast and Lynn was still sleeping. Robyn would have went back to sleep too but she didn’t know what she would do here at camp except fish and maybe sit and fill up water balloons. Robyn shook her head at her thoughts and got up throwing on some jeans.

“Where are you two going,” She asked as she fixed her shirt and walked out of her tent.

“Another hike, we’re going to try this fishing trail that we saw last time,” Ryo smiled. “Don’t wake anyone.”

Robyn nodded and wondered back into her tent. Suddenly she came back out. “Can I come? I don’t want to be stuck here again.”

Sage looked at Ryo as Ryo looked at Sage. They both shrugged and nodded. “I guess,” Sage smiled.

Robyn smiled too and went to get her shoes on. She grabbed a smaller pole she used on the boat and then stopped again. “What should I bring?”

Ryo didn’t look up from his pack as he answered, “Nothing, we have it all for ya. I made an extra sandwich anyway and I think we have enough water.”

Robyn nodded and waved Cye off as she headed up the trail.

It was just a little hotter that day and they made several stops for Robyn because she thought she was going to die of the heat. She would sit under a tree and the two boys would fish the stream. Sage was trying to make sure that she got enough water. When they got busy though catching fish at a pond or hole, she would forget the water and not drink until one of them reminded her.

Ryo asked Robyn to go up the trail a bit with him while Sage stayed down a ways and to try to fish up there. They got up there and got in the stream and fished the banks. It was quiet and pretty. They didn’t talk much. A few words there and here but nothing that kept going.

      ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*

Cye and Kento threw some water balloons while Cole and Rowen put on their goggles and snorkels and went looking for fish. Rowen tried to catch some and almost drown Cole. He tried to catch a fish but the fish sort of attacked Rowen and Cole started to laugh. He ran out of breath and had to return to the top for air.

Lynn sketched pictures until Kento hit her with a water balloon. After she planned her revenge she had another idea. She found a tube and tied a rope to it. She grinned and tied the other end of the rope to the boat.

“Kento! Don’t worry buddy! I have a good idea, why don’t we go for a boat ride?” Lynn started the boat.

Kento popped his head out of the bush. Cye nodded from his position and got on the boat with her.

“Kento, get on the tube, it’s fun,” Lynn yelled.

      “Come on Kento,” Cye waved.

“On yeah, my best friend has now turned on me,” Kento mumbled. He got in the tube though and held on.

Suddenly the boat zoomed out onto the lake and turned. Kento screamed and then a ‘yippee’. He had a huge smiled on and was laughing. Cye watched him in humor. His bangs were out of his face and his hat was back at the bank.

Lynn hit another turn and the tube flew over a wave from another boat. Kento let go and flew into the water. Cye started to laugh and Lynn had to stop the boat before going to pick him up so she could laugh too.

“WOW! You’ll like that Cye,” Kento laughed as he yelled over to the boat.

“I think I will!” Cye leaned on the back and helped Kento in when Lynn had pulled around to pick Ken up.

      ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*

Robyn was running back down to Sage to tell him to come up with her. Sage met her and saw she was very red. He worried. “Are you drinking any water,” he asked.

“Yeah, I’m drinking water,” Robyn nodded.

Sage cocked his head to the side in disbelief but didn’t say anything.  He followed her back up and they went up the trail to the next pond. Robyn took a drink and ran to the pond. Ryo and Sage took in a little bit more water and then took their own spots in the stream.

After about an hour, Robyn got dizzy. She shook her head and splashed water on her face. She was unaware of Ryo’s and Sage’s worried looks toward her as she sat down on the bank. She sat there for a couple minutes and then continued fishing.

“Maybe you should drink some water and sit out a bit. Have that sandwich,” Ryo advised.

“Gnaw, I’m alright.” Robyn smiled. She got up and grabbed her pole. Before she could get in the water though, she fell over. Ryo and Sage thought she passed out and hurried to her aide.

Robyn had stopped sweating and was really red in color. She was holding her head and said her head and stomach hurt. Ryo told her to drink some water. She didn’t move.

“Sage, go get her bottle,” Ryo ordered.

      Sage applied quickly.

Robyn drank slowly. She didn’t drink a lot though Sage and Ryo told her to. Before they could tell her to go back into the shade, she passed out.

“I think she’s got heat stroke,” Sage said quietly.

“Yeah, get a rag wet and I’ll get her into the stream. We should cool her body down.” Ryo picked up Roby carefully and gently laid her in the cool stream. Sage put a cool rag on her head. Sage stayed by her as Ryo splashed water on her face.

Robyn opened her eyes quickly and stood up once she noticed where she was. “What the heck,” she whispered.

“Come-on,” Ryo motioned for her to come with him in the shade. “We think you had a heat stroke.” Ryo helped her out and onto the bank and under a big pine.

“Drink some water and we will take you back down to camp. Make sure you’re drinking lots of water,” Sage sat by her and placed his hand on her shoulder.

Robyn nodded and drank the rest of her bottle.

      ^*^*^*^*^*

Cye laughed as he swam from where he had landed and swam back to the tube. Kento pulled the boat around and back into the dock. Lynn helped Cye untie the ropes and into the dock. Cye looked up and saw Robyn coming down the hill and Sage and Ryo talking behind her. Robyn had her head down in shame and was walking slowly.

Explaining to Cye about what happened was easy. They told him the basics and Robyn promise to drink three bottles a day. Robyn took that day off and helped Rowen set up somewhat of a shower.

Before anyone could realize it, it was night. They huddled around the campfire and roasted hotdogs and marshmallows. Robyn was so tired, she went to bed first and Cye joined her to make sure she was okay and tucked in. When he was sure she was okay, he came back out and joined the party.

Robyn woke when she heard talking outside her tent. She looked tiredly over to Lynn was still fast asleep. She dressed quickly and walked outside. Cye was up, as usual, and was fixing breakfast. Kento was at his side making whimper noises for food. Robyn shook her head, yarned, and sat next to Kento. Her tummy growled and she soon joined Kento with his whimpering sounds.

“You guys are so loud when it comes to food,” Sage complained as he got to the fire.

“No kidding, they woke you too,” Ryo yarned and looked at Sage.

“Yeah…Can’t you guys wait?” Sage turned back to Robyn and Kento.

      “No…” Kento whined.

“There, done Kento. Breakfast is all yours,” Cye took his plate as well as Robyn’s and sat by Robyn, giving Robyn her plate.

“Don’t do that Cye! We have to eat too!” Ryo jumped in, trying to save himself a plate. Sage waited until he was sure Kento was done to dig in.

When Sage finally got his plate, Lynn walked out fully dressed for the adventurous day ahead. Cole came out shortly still combing his hair.

Rowen got up soon after Cye started shaking his tent with Kento. Since he wasn’t going to get any sleep, Rowen got up and had his breakfast. The guys moved to play Frisbee on the shore while Robyn and Lynn played poker at the table.

“Who do you like out of the five,” Lynn asked.

“Huh? Oh, I dunno, I like your brother,” Robyn smiled and put down a pair of sevens. “Who do you like…Oh wait, um…Cole?”

“Of course. I think that Kento of yours and Rowen have some character. Can I borrow them after you leave?”

“You can have Rowen but not Kento. Kento’s my bud,” Robyn smiled.

“I can’t understand your crush on Scott,” Lynn laughed. “You can have him.”

“I can’t understand your crush on Kento! AND Rowen!” Robyn giggled. “Sometimes I get enough of Rowen. I wish I had more of Kento though…”

“Your not suppose to like the guy I like!” Lynn took three cards from the deck.

“I like Cye and …Scott…I really like your brother.” Robyn took her four cards.

“You didn’t like him when we were younger,” Lynn mentioned.

“He wasn’t that cute!” Robyn laughed. “I have nothing,” she said, mentioning her hand.

“I have a pair.” Lynn laughed. “You can have him…Get him out of my hair…”

“I’ll have him later…” Robyn grinned.

“You’re lucky though!” Lynn pouted. “You have FIVE cute ones with you! I have one…”

      “Two…your brother…” Robyn corrected.

“What do you like about him,” Lynn asked as she passed out the cards.

“His face…His laugh…his …personality…His body,” Robyn laughed and sat back in her chair.

Lynn shook her head and dropped the subject on her brother’s cute body.

They sat there and watched the guys start a tackle Frisbee game.

It was later that night when some idiot named Kento dumped water on the fire and didn’t bother to re-light it. He didn’t mean to. He and Ryo were going to dump Lynn and Robyn full of water but the girls ran by the fire and Kento dumped water on the fire by accident. Cole and Cye couldn’t find any matches so he sent Cye over to get some from the neighbors.

Instead of tents over there though, it was trailers. The fire was already low and the coals looked dark black. Cye crept up and knocked on the door. A lady answered in a hurry but smiled slyly as she saw a cute boy at her door. She had her hair down and was in a bikini top and tight Levi shorts. Cye smiled. “You have any matches? We only need two. My friend doesn’t know how to start a fire.”

The lady just smiled and walked down the steps. Another smiled as she appeared in the same fashion and met Kento as he arrived.

Ryo sat on a chair as Cye talked to the girls. He shook his head as Kento went to join him. All he knew was that they were planning on going in the trailer with them. Although he knew that Kento and Cye weren’t that dumb. Actually, Ryo didn’t know what they were doing. It was getting late and they were probably asking for like a candy bar or something. They haven’t had one in like…a couple weeks so Kento would defiantly would want one.

Sage and Rowen came over and joined Ryo while Lynn, Robyn, and Cole talked about going night fishing with the girls. Suddenly, ‘bout the time Sage and Rowen arrived, the girls entered Cye’s and Kento’s ‘zone’. Kento didn’t seem to mind, by Cye responded immediately.

“Well, I think this is our entertainment boys,” Rowen said laughing. “This has to be good!”

“I wonder what’s going though their minds,” Ryo giggled.

“I don’t think I want to know,” Sage added as he placed a piece of gum in his mouth.

They all laughed and continued to watch.

When Kento came up he didn’t say anything but his name and that he was there to get his friend. The girls still didn’t get the matches and kept flirting with the young men.

“I like you Kento…Your just dead cute,” one of girls said getting REAL close to Kento. Kento just laughed and smiled back.

“And you…Cye…You need to be laid,” the second girl said running her finger down his chest.

Cye looked at Kento; he didn’t seem to be enjoying it but liked it somehow. What was Cye going to say to get out of this girl’s reach? All he was wearing was his shorts because of the heat, so was Kento. He didn’t want to hurt their feelings. They came over here in the first place to get some matches so Cye could make some SMORES tonight. Kento was no help at all in Cye’s case.

Kento finally looked over at Cye who, to his eyes, was in need of help and fast! Cye didn’t like what was going on. Kento didn’t really either, but he liked that the girls’ idea of them being totally cute.

Cye looked over to Kento when he started talking. “Sorry, as much as I would love to spend the night with you two girls, I am already promised to someone,” Kento grabbed his girl’s hands off him and looked at Cye, expecting him to say the same thing.

“Sorry, I am too,” Cye said as he did the same thing. “We just need some matches so I can get our fire stared. It went out,” Cye explained and turned to Kento.

As the girls went inside, Cye turned to Kento and whispered in his ear, “Next time you can get your own matches for your own mess.”

Kento looked at Cye, stunned. “But I’m totally cute! I can’t go get matches, I might mess up my figure.”

They both chuckled and left almost immediately after they got the matches. Kento winked at them and left.

They walked up to Ryo and Sage and Rowen who continued laughing.

“If you are thinking what I am thinking,” Kento grinned, “I was the one who saved us.”

      They laughed harder.

Cye stopped, shook his head and left to see where Cole was taking Robyn.

      ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*

Rowen was the only one still up when Cole left with the girls. Cole didn’t stop till they reached the other side. Lynn and Robyn’s eyes grew as a familiar figure came into view.

“SCOTT!!” Robyn said as she lunged at him. Scott caught her and gave her a big hug, as well as his sister, Lynn. Cole sat on the boat. Cole had gotten a call from Scott saying that he was across the lake and wanted to see Robyn and Lynn before they left. He and Cole agreed to take them night fishing.

“Why did you want to see me at night,” Robyn smiled.

“Let’s see…Because I have seen Cye being really protective of you before I left. I was pretty sure we wanted to be alone and so I wouldn’t get picked on by your friends for seeing you. Nothing really can happen since its 2 girls and 2 boys.” Scott smiled sincerely. It’s nice to see her again, Scott thought to himself.

I can’t believe he wanted to see me! Robyn thought excitedly.

“We better get going before the fish get full,” Cole advised sarcastically.

When they got back it was quiet and still. You could hear laughs and camp songs being sung a couple sites down. Robyn and Lynn didn’t waste a moment to get to their bed. Cole stayed up a little while longer preparing the ride back. He was restless.
