Seriously, it's summer, do you really have anything better to do?

Third year and still going strong!

The challenge is: Create a Ronin Warrior/Samurai Trooper related piece of art every day for the entire month of June. This is NOT a contest. There is no prize for the first one finished or those who are able to make it every day. It is just something fun and challenging and, of course, we'd like any excuse to generate more Ronin fanart in the community. Here are the challenge guidelines:

1. You must provide your own space to archive your art challenge pictures. Once you have set up the space where you are archiving your pictures, please send me a link at the usual ghostofdawn@hotmail.com.

  • If you have a Deviant Art account, I would prefer you didn't use it just because it would be harder to find the pictures after the challenge has ended. I prefer something more like this for the challenge but if that's all you've got, then I will still gladly link to it.

    2. Anything Ronin related goes. It can be of any character, object, background, whatever. As long as it has something to do with the show. Fan created characters from the Ronin/Trooper universe are okay, too. Any and all mediums are welcome: pencils, digital, 3D, markers, etc. Photoshopped art is also okay if you want to take official art or screen caps and make backgrounds, add funny dialogue, make crossover pics, or anything like that. Please no fanart from other people's pages unless you have permission from the artist BEFORE you alter the pic.

    3. Keep it under a PG-13 rating If there is adult content, I might possibly remove your link from the list. Please, if something is questionable, make sure it gets a warning on it.

    4. You don't have to do it all yourself. Collaborations are allowed. If you want to hook up with another artist and take turns filling up all 30 days, that's fine. But please keep it one archive between the two of you.

    5. Does it have to be finished art? No. Again, this is not a contest of any kind. It's for fun. The art doesn't have to be a finished product. Heck, it doesn't even have to be good. You wanna do stick figures all 31 days? Be my guest. Whatever you can get done that day, post it.

    6. What if I miss a day? Then draw 2 the next day--or not. It's possible there may be some days when you're just not home. That's fine. 30 days straight is pretty grueling. Do the days you can. No one is going to look down on you if you miss one or two. The point is to at least give it a try.

    7. Can I start working on it now or use old pictures I've done previously? I personally would see that as cheating a bit. But there's no art police for this thing. Post what you want. If you just don't have time to get a drawing out that day, go ahead and post something you did last month. I doubt anyone will have a problem with it.

    8. I saw this on June 7th, but I want to do it. Can I? Heck yeah! You can start half way in if you feel like it. I'll be happy to post a link to any archive you have even if you start half way through the month. Whatever you're willing to do.

    9. Have fun and be creative! Don't be afraid to try something new or different. That's what this is for. ^.^
